Black River Technical College has been with the Paragould Regional Chamber of Commerce for 15+ years! Black River Technical College is a community college that offers, associate degrees, technical degrees, certificates of proficiency, and specialized business and industry training. Black River Technical College was founded in 1971 in Pocahontas as a vocational/ technical school. Black River Technical College became a community college in 1991 and opened a campus in Paragould in 1998. The college also has adult education centers for each of its four counties:  Greene, Randolph, Clay, and Lawrence. Black River Technical College employs approximately 170 full time employees and 50 or more part time workers every semester. Black River Technical College is very involved in the community. BRTC supports as many of the 13 school districts in its service area as possible. Faculty and staff are likewise involved in many local civic organizations, chamber boards, and academic boards. Black River Technical College is looking forward to the future with a search for its 4th president, an updated strategic plan, and exciting growth in Paragould. Black River Technical College loves being involved with the community and appreciates the support from the community through the years!
