What is a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony?

A Ribbon Cutting Ceremony is a special event hosted by the Paragould Regional Chamber of Commerce to celebrate the opening of a new business, a change in ownership, or significant renovations. It provides an excellent opportunity to gain exposure, connect with the community, and mark a milestone with Chamber members, local leaders, and media coverage.

What Criteria Must Be Met?

  • Be a member of the Paragould Regional Chamber of Commerce.
  • Be a new business for less than 6 months or a former business with change in ownership or extensive remodeling.
  • Ribbon cuttings will not be scheduled less than one week in advance. Exceptions require Chamber Executive Director approval.
  • Ribbon cuttings will not be held for home-based businesses.
  • Completion of Ribbon Cutting Information Form.
  • Additional requests will be handled on an individual basis.

What's Included in a Ribbon Cutting?

  • The Chamber will coordinate press coverage and notify local media, but attendance and publishing are at the media’s discretion.
  • The Chamber will invite general membership, Chamber Ambassadors, and the Chamber board.
  • Refreshments and door prizes are optional and at the expense of the company.
  • Business tours may be conducted if desired.
