1. Attend a musical at the Collins Theatre
If you’ve never been to the Collins Theatre in Downtown Paragould, the perfect opportunity comes in October! You can see the Broadway musical, Rent, set in the East Village of New York City. If you enjoy musicals, you will love this one about love, dreams, and conflict. The show is cast and produced locally, so be sure to come out and support local talent.

2. Picnic at Harmon Park
Pack a lunch and head to Harmon Park! You can watch as new construction has begun on Greene County’s 8-Mile Creek Trail, which will eventually connect various locations across Paragould including Paragould High School, Paragould Primary, Greene County Tech Primary, and Harmon, Bland & Labor Day Parks.
You can also bring your dog to Bark Park and let your pet run wild in one of two sections for small or large dogs.

Put on your running shoes and head to Greene County Tech Junior High on November 13. The annual 4,000 Steps for Diabetes Glow Run presented by Arkansas Methodist Medical Center Diabetes Care Clinic will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. All proceeds from the event will help with diabetes research and local efforts.

4. Watch a movie at Scatter Creek
Grab a blanket and some lawn chairs and visit Scatter Creek Berries and Produce for fall family movie nights. The movies are free to the public with a canned food or cash donation. There will also be concessions available.

5. Visit a craft fair
Local artists will be showcasing their work at two crafting events this fall.
The 2nd Annual Project Paragould Fall Craft Fair will be held October 16 at 9 a.m. at the Greene County Public Library. There will be free games, kettle corn, food, and live music. There will also be an exhibit inside the library featuring Lego brick models created by local builders.
The 45th Annual Harvest Craft Show will be held November 6 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Paragould Community Center. There will be food, door prizes, and plenty of vendors. If you’re interested in becoming a vendor, call 870-239-7530.

6. Listen to some Bluegrass music
If you like Bluegrass music, you’re in for a treat at the Collins Theatre the fourth Monday of the month!
On October 25, you can see Special Consensus, a two-time Grammy nominee, perform on the Collins stage. Special Consensus has been on nationwide and international tours and won many awards including the 2018 International Bluegrass Music Association’s Album of the Year.
You might have seen the next group on Season 12 of America’s Got Talent. On November 22, The Baker Family from south central Missouri will perform a mix of bluegrass, gospel, and classic country music.

When your bags are full of candy there, head to the Paragould Community Center from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. for Trunk or Treat. Local businesses, organizations, individuals, and churches will be present.
