AMMC FOUNDATION HOSTS 18th ANNUAL BENEFIT BEAUTY PAGEANT 

 

WHO:  Arkansas Methodist Medical Center Foundation and a bevy of the area’s lovely young ladies 

 WHAT: The AMMC Foundation is now accepting entries for its 18th annual benefit beauty pageant.  Contestant categories include: 

 Morning Pageant Categories    Afternoon Pageant Categories  Wee Miss  0-6 months    Young Miss AMMC   3rd grade   Wee Miss   7-12 months    Young Miss AMMC   4th grade Baby Miss   13-23 months    Pre-Teen Miss AMMC  5th grade Toddler Miss   24-35 months    Pre-Teen Miss AMMC  6th grade  Tiny Miss   3 Year Old    Teen Miss AMMC   7th grade  Tiny Miss   4 Year Old    Teen Miss AMMC   8th grade Petite Miss AMMC  Pre-K     Teen Miss AMMC   9th grade Petite Miss AMMC  Kindergarten    Junior Miss AMMC   10th grade Little Miss AMMC  1st grade    Junior Miss AMMC   11th grade Little Miss AMMC  2nd grade    Senior Miss AMMC   12th grade  

 Morning pageant contestants should dress in church wear only. Afternoon pageant contestants should dress in formal wear. Winners will be announced throughout the day of the pageant. 

 Entry forms are available at AMMC’s information desk and registration can be completed online at www.myammc.org. The non-refundable entry fee is $40 per child. The early bird entry fee is $30 per child if payment is postmarked by Friday, February 15, 2019. Entry forms and fees may be mailed to AMMC Foundation; P.O. Box 339; Paragould, AR; 72451-0339 and received no later than noon Tuesday, February 27, 2019 at noon. Entry forms will not be accepted during rehearsal or at the door. 

 There also will be a Most Photogenic Contest for each pageant category, with a non-refundable entry fee of $10 for each child. Photos (no frames please) for the competition should be submitted at the drop-in rehearsal or may be mailed with the entry form and fees.

 Every contestant registered for the competition will be eligible for the Community Spirit Award. By purchasing votes, family and friends can raise money to help contestants toward this title. The contestant in each category who raises the most money will be awarded the Community Spirit Award for her efforts in raising money to benefit the community.  

 

A professional photographer will be available on the day of the pageant for pictures.  

 

The winner of the Senior Miss AMMC competition will be honored as a 2019 AMMC Foundation Ambassador for various events and activities and awarded a $500 scholarship at a later date. 

 

Admission to the pageant is $5 for adults and $4 for students. One adult will be admitted free with each contestant.

 WHY: The AMMC Foundation works to raise funds to support and strengthen Arkansas Methodist Medical Center’s efforts in the areas of financial development, the quality delivery of healthcare and greater public awareness through education and community relations. It is a mission of caring. The Foundation was formed in 1992, by a group of dedicated, communityminded individuals to provide a means of philanthropic support to meet the present and future needs of the medical center.
